There had been plenty of speculation regarding a return to Juve for Del Piero, as they seek to find positions for former fan favourites, but claims that the Bianconeri icon is prepared to listen to Al-Nassr’s proposal.
Del Piero has stayed away from football since heading into retirement back in 2015. He has worked as a pundit and commentator since then, but has steered clear of day-to-day life behind the scenes at any club. That situation may be about to change in Saudi Arabia.
Al-Nassr have pieced together ambitious plans over recent months, with five-time Ballon d’Or winner Ronaldo being joined on their books by the likes of Alex Telles, Marcelo Brozovic, Seko Fofana and Sadio Mane. Del Piero may be about to join the cause, with the Italian also working on his UEFA Pro License as he mulls over a potential future move into coaching.
