Nunez has made 139 appearances with Liverpool and has bagged 66 goal contributions, including 40 goals, and this season has seen him bag just five strikes as Liverpool cruised to their 20th Premier League title. The 25-year-old has now taken shots at his critics as he basks in the glory of becoming a league champion.
On social media platform X, Nunez posted a photo of himself drinking beer and smoking a cigar in the dressing room, and captioned the post: "Premier League champion, let them tell it however they want."
The Uruguayan striker's future with Liverpool is up in the air as the Reds could potentially be open to selling him, with the likes of Atletico Madrid said to be interested.
